By playing Powerball on this momentous day, Joyce D. earned herself $1 million. Her big win came on the back of her Quick Pick ticket matching all five white balls, narrowly missing the red Powerball in the drawing to maximize her winnings.
But even without the red powerball, Joyce D. became jackpocket’s 48th millionaire winner. She is also Jackpocket’s first millionaire winner from Arizona.
However, she’s not the only big Jackpocket win to come from The Grand Canyon State.
In January of 2023, an Arizonan won $50k on his first lottery ticket ever. Then just a few months later, a couple won $143k, becoming the largest jackpocket winners from Arizona. That is, until Joyce D. had her day.
