Today we announced that Jackpocket has opened a second headquarters in sunny Santa Barbara, California!
With offices directly on State Street in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, we’re excited to build our West Coast team and join the area's burgeoning tech scene. Or, as we like to call it, the “Silicon Riviera.”
Why Santa Barbara?
Jackpocket's founding headquarters is based in NYC. Here’s what our CEO Pete Sullivan had to say about opening our new offices: “There was no better place to build our West Coast office. Santa Barbara offers an amazing active lifestyle, beautiful weather, a strong sense of community, and access to top colleges and universities. Jackpocket is excited to invest in the local technology community and help foster the next generation of innovation.”
Santa Barbara is a prime location for Jackpocket. We’re joining established tech presences like Amazon, Google, Zoom, Paypal and Sonos in the surrounding areas. But we’re just as excited to rub elbows with emerging startups like Apeel Sciences, Procure Technologies, and WELL Health Technologies. The area also boasts local access to top colleges and universities like University of California, California Polytechnic, Antioch University and Westmont College.
Following our $120M Series D announcement, Jackpocket is hiring for a number of key positions, including a local Brand & Community Ambassador, who will establish strong relationships within the startup community, spearhead local event planning and other community building initiatives, and work closely with government, educational, and philanthropic institutions.
“We’ll be working with local philanthropic organizations to create more than just jobs,” Sullivan added. “Just like the lottery gives back to important causes, we want to make sure we are supporting great non-profit organizations in our new home. We’ll be creating affiliations with higher learning institutions like UCSB, Cal Poly, and SBCC to develop talent and create opportunities for students as well as working with local governments to create new incentives for growth.”
