One evening in January, Cathy was sitting at the dinner table with her family when she made a bold prediction.

Cathy’s youngest daughter was also still in bed, but the six-figure news couldn't wait.
“She was like, ‘Oh, I thought you were going to tell me school was canceled.’ I'm like, ‘Lottery or school being canceled? I don't know—I prefer mine!’”
Plans for the Future
With two college-bound daughters, Cathy told us the timing of this win couldn’t have been better.
“Needless to say, that money is going to their schooling. It definitely is a weight off my shoulders. It came at a really good time.”
But she won’t forget to enjoy some of her winnings herself.
“I think mom might have to take a little bit out! I haven't decided what I'll spend it on yet, but I would like to take a little out for myself, yeah.”
