The game lottery enthusiasts know and love is getting a Mega Makeover. Coming April 5th, Mega Millions is getting some rule changes, bigger jackpots and better odds. 

The first change that you’ll notice is a price increase. Historically, Mega Millions tickets cost $2.00 per play. Starting in April, tickets will cost $5.00 per play. 

But with that price increase comes some pretty stellar game enhancements that are sure to excite you.

When Will the Rules to Mega Millions Change?

These changes go into effect starting on April 5, 2025. The first drawing with the new Mega Millions experience will be on April 8th, and you can expect them to continue every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET.
