1. Miami Herald: Grandma of 10 checks her phone at 3 a.m. — and learns she's a massive lottery winner

A 50-year-old grandma did a “double take” once she realized she won a massive lottery prize on an app, officials said.

The Gloucester County, New Jersey, woman woke up at 3 a.m. to an email that said she won $1 million, but she “didn’t think it was real,” according to an April 24 news release by the lottery app Jackpocket.

“I didn’t believe it at first,” the woman told officials. “But when I realized it was for real, I was pretty happy!”

2. ABC 7:  'You won big': Pine Bluff woman wins more than half a million on Natural State Jackpot

A Pine Bluff resident has won more than half a million dollars on Jackpocket, the app used to purchase lottery through the Arkansas Scholarship lottery.

According to lottery officials, this is the biggest Natural State Jackpot win to date by a player in the state of Arkansas.

Kashema Marks is the winner of the Natural State Jackpot and could not believe the notification she received from the app that said "You won big".

3. FOX 8: ‘Now I can breathe’: Ohio woman wins $1M Powerball on lottery app

An Ohio woman just hit the lottery in an unexpected way.

Vennetta S., who has lived in Cleveland for 30 years, found out she won $1 million in an automatic winner email from Jackpocket, a third-party app where you can order official state lottery tickets.

She ordered $6 in Powerball tickets on June 8 that won her the record-winning amount.

4. Arizona Republic: Sun City West resident wins $50K on Jackpocket app

If you've ever wanted to play the lottery without having to leave the comfort of your home, then there's a new app in Arizona for you.

The new "Uber Eats" for lottery tickets has produced its first Arizona winner after an 81-year-old Sun City West resident won $50,000.

With the Mega Millions now hitting its second-largest jackpot of all time, more and more people are itching to toss their hat into playing the lottery. Enter the Jackpocket app, which for Sun City West couple Val and husband Mark, generated a win on their first try.

"It was with the urging of my wife. She noticed the big drawing was over a billion dollars or some ridiculous amount of money," Mark told The Arizona Republic.

5. NJ.com: $9.4 million Pick 6 lottery ticket sold with Jackpocket app 

After more than five months without a jackpot-winning ticket being sold, someone who used a lottery app won Thursday night’s Pick 6 drawing.

Thursday’s winning numbers were 4, 28, 31, 37, 41 and 43, the New Jersey Lottery said.

The lucky winner bought the $1 ticket with the Jackpocket app.

6. KIII TV: Corpus Christi resident hits it big with Jackpocket lottery app, plans to do charity work with winnings

A lucky Corpus Christi resident is celebrating Friday after winning $150,000 on Wednesday night's Powerball drawing through the lottery app Jackpocket.

The winner, Angelica, opted to add Power Play to the ticket, which tripled her initial winning from $50,000 to $150,000, Jackpocket officials said

7. NBC 11: College student wins $1M Powerball prize via app 

Those student loans are as good as gone.

A 20-year-old Concordia University student recently bought a Powerball ticket on his smartphone that won him $1 million.

Only two weeks after the new lottery app, Jackpocket, launched Brandon Stevenson has claimed the largest mobile app prize ever claimed in the state, or the country.

8. Herald-Banner: Best friends hit the Lottery Jackpocket with new app

As fans of the gaming world anxiously awaited a $530 million Mega Millions lottery jackpot Friday night, two best friends from Greenville were already splitting a big prize they won last month, using a new system of buying tickets.

Ronnie Couling and Brandon Maynard recently claimed $50,000 they won playing Powerball using Jackpocket, an app  which allows players to purchase their tickets through their phones.

“I regularly play the Texas lottery, but I don’t like going to the store, ever,’ Couling said.

He and Maynard pool their lottery tickets, but Maynard is usually the one called upon to buy them,

“But then I found out about Jackpocket, tried it out and saw that it was good,” Couling said.

9. THV11: Arkansas man feeling lucky after winning big on lottery ticket

Ahead of the July 21 lottery drawing, Edrick Tan of Austin bought a $2 Lucky for Life lottery ticket on the Jackpocket app and lucked out winning $25,000-a-year-for-life.

Tan added that he had recently decided to download the Jackpocket app on a whim after a friend recommended it.

“I play the lottery maybe once or twice a year; however, this was my first purchase through the app,” he said. “Despite receiving an email and phone call from Jackpocket stating that I won the second-tier prize, I didn’t think the win was real until I came to claim my winnings.”

10. El Diario NY: Hispano de Brooklyn gana $1,000 por día de por vida con boleto de la lotería Cash4Life que compró por aplicación desde su teléfono
