Jackpocket lottery app just launched in New York, but did you know our company was born here 8 years ago? It truly feels like coming home. Our main headquarters in NYC (which we miss dearly during this stretch of WFH) is along Bryant Park just steps away from marble lions of the New York Public Library and the theatres on Broadway. And you don’t get more New York than Broadway.
That's why we’re excited to announce that we’re teaming up with Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, a nonprofit organization based in NYC, to help workers in the performing arts, on-stage and off, impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Stage crews, actors, musicians, and ushers—Broadway Cares provides health care, counseling, and emergency relief for thousands who have been struggling since Broadway went dark.
The Details:
- From now through the end of March, Jackpocket will be donating 10% of our proceeds from New York lottery ticket sales to Broadway Cares.
- That donation is in addition to the portion of every New York Lottery ticket that helps support K–12 education throughout New York State.
- Jackpocket has committed to a minimum donation of $100,000—and you can help us exceed that by taking part in the lottery for a good cause!
Many of us at Jackpocket have a New York connection. Big Pete (our founder's father) was an MTA employee here for many years. We're proud to do our part in the community and support the great work that Broadway Cares does every week.
